If you started an application but didn’t finish it, follow the instructions in this forwarded email from the CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program to complete your application:

IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA YOU MUST TAKE ACTION TO AVOID AN EVICTION

The State Eviction Protections are changing on September 30, 2021

Do Not Delay! If you do not complete your application immediately, your landlord may be able to sue to obtain a court order for your eviction.

Please be advised that the CA COVID-19 Rent Relief Program is not closing. To retain any level of tenant protection you must complete the submission of your application.

It is now MUCH easier to apply with a simpler application.

Recent changes to the application include:

  • Much easier to fill out
  • Requires less paperwork and uploads
  • Takes less time to complete
  • Includes “pop-up” tips throughout to help you understand exactly what you need to do

 

You do NOT need to start over

You will NOT be required to resubmit any information that you provided when you started your application, and you can easily pick up wherever you left off before.

Immigration status doesn’t matter

You can apply regardless of your immigration status. You will not be asked to show proof of your citizenship, and all your information will be kept private.

 

Next steps

Once your application has been successfully submitted and processed, you will be contacted regarding the next steps, or with approval for payment.

Deadline

If you do not complete and submit your application within the next seven (7) days, your application will be moved to a nonresponsive status. However, should you need assistance at a later date, there is no need to reapply; to reactivate your application, please email us at support@ca-rentrelief.com or call us at 833-430-2122.
