In addition to being a firefighter at Station 25 at 3rd and Cargo, she also holds the position of diversity, equity, and inclusion officer in the newly created REAP: Racial Equity Action Plan. The focus of this role is to create a culture in the fire service that reflects the city of San Francisco’s diversity. She is also involved with the San Francisco Fire Youth Academy that works to open pathways to work in the SFFD for under-represented teens.
When she is not working to improve the representation of our community in SFFD’s, Khristina volunteers in the community. Khristina says, “It’s nice to have the opportunity to step up and help during this time.” And she does. In addition to volunteering to administer vaccinations and covid test swabs, and at health screenings, she also volunteers at food drives, food delivery, as-well-as back-to-school events like backpack drives.
