Block 56/11 Innes Court: A New Chapter of Affordable Living in Hunters Point

San Francisco Housing Development Corporation (SFHDC), in partnership with Mercy Housing California, has embarked on an exciting new project – the Block 56/11 Innes Court development. Launched in May 2023, this initiative represents a significant step towards increasing affordable housing options in the Hunters Point neighborhood.

Project Overview: Block 56/11 Innes Court is a groundbreaking venture aimed at creating a 73-unit affordable housing complex. This project is a thoughtful blend of 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom units, specifically designed to accommodate families and individuals with diverse housing needs.

Project Details: The development is intended for households earning between 35% and 50% of the San Francisco Average Median Income (AMI), making it an accessible option for many in need of affordable housing solutions. The modern architectural design by Van Meter William Pollack and Kerman Morris Architects, coupled with the construction expertise of Nibbi/Baines, ensures both aesthetic appeal and functional living spaces.

Funding and Collaboration: The project has been made possible through funding and investments from OCII and Bank of America. This collaborative effort is a testament to the commitment of various stakeholders in addressing the city’s affordable housing needs.

Impact and Commitment: With the commencement of construction at Block 56/11 Innes Court, SFHDC is proud to contribute significantly to the Hunters Point community. This development not only offers affordable housing but also enriches the neighborhood with a vibrant and inclusive living environment.

Block 56/11 Innes Court stands as a beacon of SFHDC’s dedication to creating sustainable, community-driven housing solutions. This project embodies our ongoing mission to develop housing that is not just a place to live but a space where communities can thrive.
