Kaela joins the Economic Development team after serving as a Junior Project Manager with En2action, where they led and delivered community engagement, technical assistance, and economic empowerment programming for small businesses and residents of San Francisco. Kaela has previously supported spatial activation and placemaking programming with the San Francisco Parks Alliance, in addition to their work in mobility and transportation justice with non-profit organizations in San Diego and Oakland.
Kaela holds a B.S. in Public Health from UC San Diego and a Certificate in Climate Change and Health from Yale School of Public Health. They bring along their passion for cultivating sustainable community development and their interest in the intersection between power and place. In their free time, Kaela enjoys DJing, doing tarot, and hanging out with their cat, Ponyo.
